About the role

We are seeking a General Manager Business Development to join our team at our facility in Bekasi, West Java. This is a full-time position that offers a strategic opportunity to lead and drive business growth initiatives across our organisation. As General Manager Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new market opportunities, developing sustainable revenue streams, and positioning PT Kayu Permata for expansion and long-term success. This role reports directly to senior leadership and is central to our strategic business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company strategy and market trends

• Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders across the industry

• Lead market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making and positioning

• Develop business proposals, negotiate contracts, and close commercial deals

• Oversee the execution of business development initiatives and monitor their performance against key metrics

• Collaborate with internal departments including sales, operations, and finance to ensure seamless implementation of new business ventures

• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships that enhance market reach and operational capabilities

• Present findings, recommendations, and progress reports to senior management and board members

• Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years of experience in a General Manager role in Sales, Business Development, or a related field.

• Strong experience in B2B Sales, Business Development, and Project Sales.

• Experience in the building materials, construction materials, architectural products, or related industries.

• Experience and a business network with architects, contractors, and developers.

• Ability to formulate sales strategies, develop business opportunities, negotiate, and lead a team.

• Strong communication, leadership, and business relationship-building skills.

• Minimum bachelor’s degree (S1), preferably in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

• Willing to be based in Bekasi, West Java.
